Rationale

The present owners of the property want to make a positive contribution to the artistic and cultural well being of the commune. Utilising a historic, monastic, part of the property which is documented to contain the reported grave of Poton de Xaintrailles, a minor noble of Gascon origin, one of the chief lieutenants of Joan of Arc. He served as master of the royal stables, as royal bailiff in Berry and as seneschal of Limousin. In 1454 he was appointed a Marshal of France.
